Underpinning North Sawn Lumber's commitment to the highest quality and consistency in pine lumber processing is our expertise in preservative treatment. specialists in clear LOSP H3.1 radiata pine treatment of interior and exterior use and have the ability to treat to lengths up 14 meters.  We developed a unique treatment process which enables us to treat LVL lumber.  This, coupled with approval under the AsureQuality quality assessment program, has resulted in us being the only approved Azol treatment provider for New Zealand’s biggest LVL manufacturer.

QUALITY ASSURED:

Lumber treated by North Sawn Lumber meets multiple quality assurance standards, and is marked with the Agriquality imprint for preservative purposes, and for structural timber with the Verified Timber mark for structural grading purposes. These schemes ensure that our plant, systems, independent testing, and quality control all meet with rigorous New Zealand standards for wood treatment and processing. LOSP H3.1 TREATMENT:

'Tanalised' Light Organic Solvent Preservative (LOSP) treatment of radiata pine is an excellent solution for low to moderate hazard timber applications. It is a clear preservative pressure-treatment that maintains the appearance of the wood and doesn't swell it, meaning that it can be applied to machined wood. The active preservation agents are Propiconazole and Tebuconazole and it contains a fungicide. The active insecticide is generally permethrin. The process makes for a resilient pine product that can be used in interior linings, wall framings, roof framing, cladding, fascias and wall framing. Our state-of-the-art plant machinery can treat lengths up to 13.9m in length, twice the size of conventional treatment technology.

AZOLE LVL TREATMENT:

North Sawn Lumber can help bring the moderate to high hazard exterior protection of Copper Azole (CA-B) treatment to the superb structural qualities of Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL).  Our unique treatment process enables us to treat LVL lumber.  Combined with our approval under the Agriquiality quality assessment program we are now the only approved Azol treatment provider for New Zealand’s biggest LVL manufacturer.

MACHINING AND FINGER JOINTING:

As part of our processing facilities, we can machine and finger joint your lumber to standard sizes and lengths, and even to custom requirements upon request.  We operate a high speed optimising cross cut saw system which maximises timber recovery.  We are able to offer cut to length components in a range of sizes and grades.

PRIMING:

We can pre-prime your lumber, reading for painting.
